(An image of a FETCH and WT-FTP window here would be a nice touch--Tim)

Using FTP

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the method you will use to send us your files. You need an FTP program such as WT-FTP (Windows) or FETCH (MAC) to use this feature.

When you send us an Electronic Request Form, we open an account for you on our servers and send the information to you in an e-mail. The e-mail contains three pieces of information that you need for your FTP program: Server Name, User Name and Password.

  1. Launch your FTP program.

  2. Type the Server Name in the Server/Server Name/Domain Name field of your program. This tells the program what server to contact.

  3. Type your User Name in the User or ID field.

  4. Type your Password in the Password field.

  5. Some FTP programs allow you to specifiy a destination directory. You should leave this field BLANK. If you enter anything in this field, you will receive an error from the FTP program.

  6. When you connect you will see an empty area (if this is your first time) or a list of files you have previously uploaded.

NOTE: We check our server daily and take the files out of your space when we are using them. If you don't see a file you have uploaded to our servers, it is because we have already retrieved it and are working on your job.

  7. Use your FTP program to upload the files you want to send to our server.

  8. Quit the FTP program when you are done. This logs you out of our server.
